A descendant of both Iranian scribes and Texan farmers, Nadiya is intimately familiar with the psychic trickery required to put on a good show. The esoteric religion she was raised in put on a bad one and forced her to search for God elsewhere, discovering it's beating pulse to be especially vital in the illusory terrain of film and story. Her work reflects the human need to mythologize and extract meaning, even while enduring the most banal environments, like gas stations or corporate call centers. She has been self-publishing journals and magazines and designing immersive events and live experiences since 2018, and she is currently building a powerful alternative to algorithmic governance within the creative field while heading up it's cinematic wing. Her work has been featured in Curate LA and 5 Every Day and is available in several independent bookstores including Skylight Books, LA and Printed Matter, NY.
